On the 20th March 2012 we enjoyed a social evening at the Crown & Cushion with guest speakers Peter Merriman, a former Spitfire pilot and advanced flying instructor and Jack Baldwin, who served as a flight engineer with the Pathfinders and his wife Hazel who had packed parachutes for her husband and SOE agents among others.

On 22nd April 2012 the branch visited Enstone Flying Club, where Paul Fowler is in the process of building an entire squadron of the new mark 28B Supermarine Spitfire. 

On the 21st August 2012 we commemorated the 70th Anniversary of the mid-air collision of a Vickers wellington and an Airspeed Oxford over the town in 1942 and the loss of 8 airmen. After a memorial service at St Mary's Church wreathes were laid at the site in Church Street where the Wellington landed. 

After a reception at the Crown & Cushion a number of us went to Little Rissington Churchyard to lay wreathes on the three airmen buried there. 

On the 20th September 2012 the branch paid a visit to RAF Brize Norton. 

On the 6th November 2012 the branch played host to sponsored walkers Johannes Shanmugan, Steve Johnston and Tony Mainprize.
